Sometimes it’s not enough for me to just ride my bike, I like to declare my love of two wheels to the whole world. My go-to bike-specific fashion item is a cycling cap, but there are plenty of other ways to let the world know you love to strap a bike between your legs. It was a hard slog, but I have spent the morning trawling Etsy for my favourite clothes and accessories for the hardcore lady bicycle addict, so here they are!
Bicycle Skirt from Becky Queen of Frocks
The A-line cut and high waist make this skirt easy to ride in, and absolutely adorable. Becky only has one of these skirts so you’d better be quick, or prepared to beg her to make you another.
Upcycled Inner Tube Feather Earrings from Wolff Jewellery
Marlen Wolff from Byron Bay makes jewellery from recycled inner tubes, and it is simply delicious. She also does bags and belts (and possibly has the coolest name the world has ever seen).
Bicycle Leggings from Vital
Vital, a Denver-based shop, screenprints bikes on a huge range of stuff, but my favourite are these leggings, which put the bikes on your calves, exactly where your bike makes its mark on you. Their cardigan is also divine. Love it.
Bike TOMS Shoes from The Matt Butler
It’s getting warm in the southern hemisphere, and all over the world thanks to global warming, so really everyone has an excuse to own a pair of these screen printed canvas slippers.
Bicycle Print Underwear from Maribelle by Donna Jane
Ok, so not everyone is going to see these bad boys, but they are adorable, and I want some. Who doesn’t want a bike on either side of their trousers?
Everything from Clockwork Gears Clothing
Frieda Kahlo with a bike? Red riding hood pedalling like the furies? Forest creatures with a drop bar fixie? YES PLEASE! Shirts cost upwards of AU$10.
Bicycle Shorts from Rojas Clothing
I would wear these to bed, to the beach, to the cocktail bar, just everywhere. The perfect summer short from California.
Bicycle Print Scarf from With Love and Love
This 100% cotton scarf is just begging to be wrapped around my neck. I love the subtle colours and sketchy illustration.
Hand Printed Leather Journal from in blue
This cow leather journal can be customised with up to ten words on the front, and the paper is replaceable. Want.
