Some cyclists record every trip with a GoPro, most cyclists don’t bother because of the hassle involved. The meMINI is a device currently on Kickstarter and which potentially makes recording crashes and near misses simpler than ever before.
It is a wi-fi camera with no memory card, all the data is stored in the cloud. Yet the real genius is that you press the record button after the event that you want to record has taken place.
It works using ‘loops’ of video, which can last from five seconds up to five minutes. You set the loop time you would like and then once an event has taken place you press the record button.
It is being marketed as a device for capturing fun moments amongst families, but seems almost perfect as a device for capturing the behaviour of careless motorise.
It currently attaches to clothing using a magnet, but in the comments there is some discussion about a bike mount being produced. Bring it on!
